Council: Nambucca Shire Council

Year: 2016

Scope: Design and construction of a pressure sewer system for the properties that front the Nambucca River

Environmental Factors: Nambucca River North Estuary and water way had localised flooding during king tides and rain events, the onsite septic systems were failing due to the excess ground water and soil profile being heavy clays, sand and silt muds, with a high ground water level.

PSSA Solution: Design and install a pressure sewer system via trenchless technology servicing commercial and residential properties along the Pacific Hwy.

Environmental Outcomes: Removal of septic disposal to the local environment, improvement to local water ways and stormwater drainage networks. The system also allowed for the caravan park to expand and create more sites for casual camping and permanent accommodation.
