Gembrook Sewerage Project
The Problem
Nagambie is a small town situated by Victoria’s Goulburn River. In view of redeveloping the existing caravan park, Portable Water and Sewerage Reticulation Services were required to service the new Nagambie Lakes Leisure Park. This meant upgrading their facilities with a Water Supply, Pressure Sewer Reticulation and Electrical to a standard where they could operate successfully as a caravan/leisure park.
With the river on one side of the development and the lake on the other, this made traditional gravity sewers utilising deeper trenches with pipes laid to grade, both difficult and costly to construct due to the very high water table.
The Aquatec solution
Aquatec was able to design and supply approximately 40 pressure sewer units consisting of Simplex and Duplex units to Nagambie Lakes Leisure Park.
With the project being made up of two parts; Part A being the “leisure park” and Part B being for “permanents”, this made it a large area to be sewered.
Aquatec offered a combination of SGPC and OGP pumps. By utilising the OGP pump, Aquatec were able to group 6-10 units to an OGP Simplex making this a very efficient and cost effective project for our client.
